Type 1

The Reformer

Principled, purposeful, and quietly relentless about doing things right.

Motivation

Ones carry a persistent inner critic that measures everything — themselves most of all — against how it ought to be. This makes them honest, disciplined, and genuinely committed to improvement. It also makes rest difficult: there is always something that could be better.

Core fear

Being corrupt, defective, or wrong.

Core desire

To be good, right, and beyond reproach.

Under stress: Stressed Ones take on the brooding self-absorption of an unhealthy Four: suddenly convinced nobody understands how much they sacrifice.

In growth: Growing Ones move toward healthy Seven energy: spontaneity, joy, and the discovery that a messy good time is not a moral failure.

Wings

A core type is flavored by one adjacent neighbor — 1w9 or 1w2.

1w9 · The Idealist

More detached, objective, and impersonal than other Ones. The Nine wing cools the inner critic into quiet principle — 1w9s prefer to be right from a distance rather than in your face.

1w2 · The Advocate

Warmer, more people-focused, and more openly persuasive. The Two wing turns conviction into service — 1w2s reform people, not just systems, and burn out faster for it.
